Interpretation of Terms

  • “We”, “Our”, “Us” – Refers to Pro Fittings Ltd, the provider of flooring services.

  • “Client” – Refers to the individual or organisation commissioning services from Pro Fittings Ltd.

  • “Technician”, “Installer”, “Fitter”, “Operator” – Refers to individuals carrying out the flooring works on behalf of Pro Fittings Ltd.

  • “Premises” or “Client’s Property” – The location where flooring services are to be carried out.

  • “Service” or “Work” – Refers to any flooring-related installation performed by Pro Fittings Ltd.

All references to the singular include the plural and vice versa. Gendered terms apply to all genders.

Formation of Agreement

By requesting a service, accepting a quote, or confirming a booking through any communication method (phone, email, website), the Client enters a legally binding agreement with Pro Fittings Ltd governed by these terms. Any conflicting terms provided by the Client will be overridden unless explicitly agreed in writing by Pro Fittings Ltd. Both parties agree to comply with relevant legal and regulatory obligations.

Service Pricing & Quotation Policy

All pricing is based on factors such as:

  • Type and condition of the flooring

  • Size of the area

  • Nature of subflooring

  • Any unique site conditions

Initial estimates are for reference only and may change following an in-person site survey.
Quotes are:

  • Valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue

  • Subject to adjustment if scope or property conditions change

  • Confirmed in writing after an on-site assessment (unless waived by mutual agreement)

If the Client confirms a start date and pays a 30% deposit, the quote becomes fixed.

Taxation

All quoted and invoiced prices are exclusive of VAT, which will be applied at the prevailing UK standard rate (currently 20%).

Tools, Materials, and Access Requirements

Unless stated otherwise, all tools, products, and materials are provided by Pro Fittings Ltd.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The site has running water and electricity

  • Workspaces are clear, safe, and accessible at the scheduled time

Failure to meet these conditions may lead to service delays and additional charges.

Payment Terms and Late Fees

  • Full payment is due on the same day the work is completed, unless previously agreed in writing.

  • A proof of payment must be presented to our technicians before they leave the site.

  • Payment methods accepted: Bank Transfer or Cash

Late Payment Charges:

  • Residential Clients: Interest applies after 15 days

  • Commercial Clients: Interest applies after 30 days

If payment remains outstanding, we may:

  • Assign the case to a debt recovery agency

  • Register a County Court Judgment (CCJ)

  • Apply additional legal/admin fees (£130) and relevant court costs

Where Pro Fittings Ltd supplies flooring materials, these must be fully paid before dispatch.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Bookings can be cancelled free of charge if written notice is received at least 7 days prior to the agreed start date.

  • If the Client cancels within 7 days or causes a delay without notice, additional fees may apply.

  • Services already underway cannot be cancelled, and full payment remains due.

Limitations of Liability

Pro Fittings Ltd is not liable for:

  • Delays or damages due to circumstances beyond our control

  • Any financial loss due to schedule changes

  • Floor damage caused by premature use after installation (e.g. walking too soon, moving furniture)

  • Damage to hidden electrical or plumbing systems that were improperly installed

Any unexpected issues affecting service duration will be communicated to the Client as soon as possible.

Client Responsibilities and On-Site Conditions

  • Quotes cover only the services listed—they are not inclusive of cleaning post-construction debris unless specifically included.

  • Floors must be clear of furniture and obstacles. We can assist with furniture movement at additional cost.

  • Operatives may refuse to move heavy or fragile items for safety reasons.

  • Any access delays caused by other trades or site conditions may incur extra charges.

  • Where partial access is given (e.g. furniture can't be moved), the work may be split into phases. This may result in visible inconsistencies and additional time/costs.

  • If repairs are needed for joists or subfloors during the installation process, this will be charged separately.

Legal Jurisdiction and Revisions

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales. Pro Fittings Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notification. The latest version will apply immediately to all new bookings.
